An unofficial guide
Of historical note...
When Nintendo announced the release of a portable gaming console, Sega was sure to follow. Their console, the GameGear, was more powerful and had a full color screen, but was soon forgotten and buried alongside with any other portable consoles (like Atari's Lynx). After a year, the GameBoy ruled supreme.
Why is this?
The simple answer is that the GameGear, or any other portable console for that matter, had no good titles to match Nintendos lineup. Tetris was an instant winner, as was Super Mario Land and Metroid.
However, the game I played the most was neither Tetris nor SML. Even my adventures with Samus in Metroid can't compete with the hero and island I spent most time visiting: Link on Koholint island.
Why Zelda?
When I played Zelda for GameBoy, I discovered different secrets every time. New places for seashells, new ways to beat enemies, small thingies and big ones. With most other games, that never happened. SML was good, but lacked the story of Metroid and Zelda. Metroid had a good story and a great mood, but was pretty much the same play throughout the entire game. Zelda was never boring, always new and always fun.
Why a guide?
Some of you might wonder why I have chosen to put down time and energy in creating the perfect spoiler for all you gamers out there. I do it for all of you out there who have become helplessly stuck, all of you who just can't find that last seashell, get the tunics or beat boss N:o X.
Don't spoil your gameplay, don't cheat. This is only for emergency. Or when you've played through the game fifteen times without finding everything.
Have a nice day!
